[Collins] QSK with S-Line?

True QSK is difficult to achieve.
With true QSK you can hear between the Dots...at 20 wpm or better, the T/R
transition is so seamless that the radio sounds like full duplex.
TenTec designs radios for QSK. In MHO, they are the only ones to really
"get it right".
With an OMNI-VI, I've actually "lost" my local tone in CW pile-ups. (a
really weird experience)

With the S-line I set the VOX delay to minimum, start the T/R sequence with
the paddles and use a foot switch to "hold" the transmitter "ON".
Periodically, I will let up on the foot switch. This gives me a sort of
semi-break-in without banging the heck out of the relays.
