I have for sale a Collins 312B-5. I am sure we all know what this is and for
those still in the dark I can think of no better place to enlighten yourself
than here, http://www.wa3key.com/312b.html.

This example is a round emblem unit S/N 11668 and as far as I can determine
is unused. I think this is so because the RCA jacks show no signs of
anything ever being connected to them and the N type sockets on the
directional coupler are both equally discoloured and again show no signs of
anything being threaded on to them. Further, the vfo cable is wrapped in a
plastic bag with a rubber band that from the look of it could easily have
been there since it was shipped. The string of a tag is still attached to
the function switch, no tag though.

The down side is the case. I think this B5 has been kept in a reasonable
climate as there is no evidence of any corrosion anywhere but unfortunately
subject to some knocks and scrapes in it's life of sitting and waiting to be
used. There is a small gouge in the trim ring and some paint abraded and
there are scratch and scuff marks on the case itself. As it is the unit is
most certainly original though clearly not perfect. I could repaint the case
or even find a good one and replace it, but then it wouldn't be original.

I have pictures and would be happy to email them to anyone with a serious
interest in purchasing the unit. I would also be interested in trading it in
part for a large amplifier.
