Picked one up the other day. Nice looking and very good calibration.
"S" meter movement acts like it is in slow agc mode. Receiver takes
300uv to reach S-9. I've not checked the tubes in the RF section yet
but had to replace about half the other ones so i'm hoping that will
cure some it's hearing ills.
There was no schematic diagram in this manual so i'm in the dark with
it. Someone or several folks have been under the radio judging from the
solder joints. They've also added the tube and wiring for an NBFM
adapter. Serial number is in the 400 range so i'm wondering if this is
just a low range receiver or did they not make that many of them.
Anyone having a nice clean copy of the schematic, i would certainly
appreciate a print.
Any help appreciated. Oh yes, previous owners were Sam, W6HDU, Bill
Hawkes WA6CAP, W6IZU and in 1990 Classic Radio in Eureka, CA. sold the
radio to a Dr. Jack. Koger in Auburn, Ca. Anyone know anything about
him?
Kinda neat to track this thru it's past.
