[Collins] mmf and uf

Hi,

Over the past few days, and I haven't been watching as carefully as I
should, there has been reference to mmf and this has been equated, from
time to time, to pf.

This is incorrect both logically and historically. When I was in short
pants, I seem to recall that mmf was the common designation for what we now
refer to as uf. (milli-milli being the equivalent of micro) This is a long
time ago and my memory may be less good with advancing years.

My absolute first memories of life consist of being made to sit at the
dining room table and insert 'T' and 'U' transformer laminations into a
bobbin, alternating sides. These transformers were used in homebrew TV sets
just after WW2. Slave labour for my wicked Dad :)

Chris
