[Collins] 51S1 weak Broadcast Band Issue Help

Hello all, I have a 51S1 SN# 930 that is just a gem in every way but
one, The 1.9-1.0 band is very weak in sensitivity. All the rest of the
radio is great. I am not a 51S1 guru as my head has been under the hood
of the Hali Sx's and the CE, TMC and Collins 390 type rigs. Before I
take a gander at this gal I wonder what kind of great info I might get
from those of you who know this radio. Any help much appreciated! Thanks
