[Collins] 51S1 project correction/need help

Guys:
My goof. It was the 2-7 Mcs bands that are dead. Everything else seems to be working great! 

Looking at the schematics, it appears that the 17.5 Mcs osc. is used exclusively in these bands. Bad xtal or tube, I suspect. 

My question is can one put another general coverage rx on 17.5 Mcs to see if there is output coming from that osc? Thanks. Cal, N6kyr.
