What you want is a VTVM. HP 410B or 410C with the RF probe. Any decent
analog reading meter with a hi-impedance input and RF probe will do.
For voltage checks on the sockets I use a Ballantine 3100A-11 DVM and then I
double check the measurements with a HP 410C.
Whatever you decide on, buy the best you can. It will pay off in the long
run.
