[Collins] Diodes in a 651S-1

Using the avaliable information, the unit should be up
and running again in the not too distant future.

(and found one or two marked with reversed polarity to
upset my circuits). But being a higher current diode
than the 1N458 I suppose they would have coupled too
much RF when reverse biased.
 
I go along with the 1N4007 as an HF PIN diode. From
all I've heard it works well and is not nearly as
expensive as a real PIN diode designed for RF
switching. It will be a little harder to fit in the
space of the 1N458, but not much if the 1N458 has the
Collins lead stress removing loops at its ends.
