No way unless you are working with the PTOs split and
then you could be as far as 200 KHz away. If you are
not using the heterodyne oscillators in the receiver
to control the transmitter, then you can be many MHz
away! But, not 50 KHz away caused by the BFO
crystals.
The most that you could be away caused by the BFO
crystals is 2.7 KHz and this would be if you were
receiving using LSB. The BFO crystals are 456.350 KHz
and 453.650 KHz, which are 2.7 KHz apart!
