I wish to thank all of you for your input. I will forward the "results" =
to Advanced Optics Ltd. for their consideration. This informative =
survey will assist them in making a final determination on whether to =
move forward with an expansion of their Collins reproduction product =
line. =20
We can be appreciative of the fact that they are trying to help us =
restore our Collins radios by offering high quality products at =
affordable prices. Incidentally, the owner of Advanced Optics, Ltd. is =
a Collins enthusiast who sincerely wishes to help us with our Collins =
restoration projects, like I did when I originally offered 30S-1 script =
emblems, the dial drum overlays, S-Line winged emblems, etc. some years =
ago. In my conversations with his son who manages the business, I have =
complete trust and confidence that they will do their best to help us in =
the months ahead.=20
For purposes of clarification, the CRA is merely trying to facilitate =
this process by being a distributor - without any monetary compensation =
whatsoever other than the satisfaction that I have in trying to help =
hams, which I have tried to do, to the best of my ability, all of my =
47 years of being in this wonderful hobby. =20
Personally, I want to thank those who have offered their kind and =
sincere comments in a number of posts that I have received. Your =
support these many years does not go unnoticed.
Again, thank you all for taking the time to complete the survey, no =
matter how simplistic it may have been. I guess we could have gone to =
eBay to generate some kind of "overinflated" price schedule but I wanted =
to ask YOU for your opinion. On behalf of Advanced Optics Ltd., thank =
you for your time.
And, thank you Barry for allowing us to take some liberty in this =
endeavor by allowing us the space on this wonderful QTH.NET mail list. =
With this, I end.
