Since we're on the subject of that mu-metal shield, I have heard the =
term 'blow by' used to describe signals coupling around the filter.  Is =
this also why the shield was added?

On my 75S3B, I can hear strong signals, such as the calibration signal =
or strong cw and ssb, as far as 10 Khz away from zero beat, with the =
standard SSB filter and even with the 500 hz filter.  While the signal =
is not very loud out at 8 or 9 khz, its still readable.  This amazes me =
and is annoying.  Is this 'blow by'? =20
