I had an engineering sample just the right size. One might try
McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) look for nickel alloy foil. I probably
used something like .010" maybe thicker. Probably plain steel 1/16"
thick would do as well. Someone makes an after market shield box, since
the later production runs included it from the factory. I think I tried
a angle of heavier steel, but the mumetal fit under the filter clamp
better. Now that I have a crystal filter for CW, neither the clamp, nor
the shield box are workable options, yet the mumetal stays on the SSB
plastic cased filter.
