Fw: [Collins] ID Tags for the R-388

Wonder if someone can help me identify the vintage of my R388/URR?

The ID tag says

SIGNAL CORPS - US ARMY
RADIO RECEIVER R388/URR
SERIAL NUMBER 125 - ORDER # 1908-PHILA-51
COLLINS RADIO COMPANY

The receiver also has a kind of dull/smudgy (and hard to read) red square
stamp (approx. 3/4" per side) above the meter. I am particularly curious
about this stamp...can send digital pix if anyone has an inkling.
