[Collins] Does this 30L-1 look ok to buy?

There are enough 30L1's that come on the market that with some
patience you should be able to get one in person. They can even be
bought reconditioned, with a guarantee from some ham dealers who also
repair amps.

If you have even a tiny doubt about something on EBay, bail out.

The other thing is that knowledge of how to ship an amp seems rather
rare on EBay. I blew off a chance on a relatively inexpensive AL1200
because the seller did not seem to know about shipping tube,
transformer and amp in three different cartons.

Save yourself some real trouble and confine yourself to some kind of
demo and pickup deal.
