Removed the cover and took a look at the 1st audio amp
V1A. There is a cathode bypass cap 0.1ufd from pin
8 (cathode) to ground that looks original. Followed a black wire
from pin 8 to the Emission switch S8C pin 10. This connection
is grounded when in the USB or LSB position effectively
turning on the 1st mic amp. So why would there be a bypass
cap across a piece of wire. Terminal on the switch had no red
stain on the solder joint indicating some one re-soldered
this joint. Probably removed the cathode bypass resistor.
I plan on putting it back and see what happens.
