Hi Bob,
If the contact pairs are wired in series for arc suppression it does not =
matter that all the pairs do not close at the same time. The idea is =
that when the relay opens there is a greater total air gap. With the =
larger air gap the arc cannot continue and cook the contacts.

My question of this is that the contacts would have to hit at the same =

or wouldn't you have a single set making anyway? Many of these stock =
relays=20
have to be pretty worn to the point that they wouldn't be moving at =
the same time=20
anymore.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
