My query has to do with the finish on Collins radios, specifically, the
older Collins with the Saint James texture finish.

Yes, I know all about wrinkle paint but am wondering if anyone has ever come
up with a method for producing that unique finish that the older Collins
were famous for. Many years ago, there was a "story" that the Saint James
base coat was sprayed with a high speed dryer agent that produced that
so-called "wrinkle finish."

Could anyone give me some ideas? I have a 30K-1 and 32V cabinets that I
want to refinish. Yes, there is powder coating, wrinkle paint in a spray
can but has anyone taken this subject to another level where that same
effect be produced in some other way?

Thank you for any suggestions.
