[Collins] KWS-1 fuse wanted/for sale

Well, it was only a matter of time, I suppose...


I'm in need of (a couple) HVB-1 fuses for my KWS-1. The HV feedthru cap shorted last night in the middle of the CRA net!

The previous references, Grainger and Graybar, do not stock them, and they are long lead time from Bussman.

If anyone has any for sale, please let me know.

Alternatively, I have found a source who has them in stock, but requires a $100 minimum order. If there was interest, I would front an order for fuses and resell them at my cost. Let me know if you're interested, and for how many.

Yes, I have heard of the trick of using a piece of fine wire. However, I don't think this is acceptible, as the finest wire I can find (single wire from shield braid from 1/32" diameter coax) carryies several amps with ease...
