[Collins] Acquiring a KWS-1

Hi,
    Being a somewhat new Collins gear fan, and knowing that relatively few
KWS-1 transmitters were produced in the scheme of things, I was curious
where they can usually be found.  I hope someday to be able to own a set of
the Gold Dust Twins (maybe even with the station console!!).  Unlike the
KWS-1, I have seen 75A-4 receivers in various places.  However, I'm
currently a student in EE, so my budget is limited (this stuff isn't cheap,
but then again it's better made than new equipment).  Do units which need
repair show up very often, at less of a cost than fully functional ones?
I've got a set of (used) Eimac 4X150A's on my desk here, and access to
equipment to do testing.  I figure that after working on our club's KW-1
that I should have even better experience for such a repair.  Hopefully I
can eventually locate a KWS-1 to add to my station.  I look forward to
carrying on many AM QSOs, as well as SSB ones.
