These corrections are for the 12th edition of the Collins 30S-1 Instruction Manual.
On page 6-13, in parts listing 6-2, item 58 correctly referrers to terminal board TB101. Item 58A referrers to TB102. However, note the proceeding photograph sheet, Figure 6-2 sheet 1. This photo labels the two terminal boards incorrectly. Item 58A and 58 are reversed. This photo should label the left-hand terminal board is item 58, and the right-hand terminal board is 58A. Both terminal board connections are numbered vertically, 5 through 1, top-to-bottom.
On Figure 6-6, Sheet 2, change item #26 to read C217.
On Figure 6-6, Sheet 2, note the three square plastic-packaged selenium rectifiers CR205, CR207, and CR208. In order to indicate the correct part, change item 22 to read CR208, and item 24 to read CR205. Reverse the listing for these parts on page 6-25. Item 22 should be changed from CR205 to read CR208, and item 24 should be changed from CR208 to read CR205.
In addition.....
Although corrected in the 12th edition, there is a schematic error in the 8th edition and this error may have propagated from earlier editions as well as later ones. Please check all schematic versions prior to the 12th edition. Switch S201D, located in the bias supply, is in the wrong position. The arm of the switch is drawn in the CW position. It should be redrawn to the SSB position.
