[Collins] Collins and AM

Hello,
    I was curious about purchasing a Collins Transceiver / Station.  I'm
looking for a first time HF station, but I love tube equipment and I know I
want something older.  I hope to be able to operate AM, as well as CW and
SSB.  Does a lof of the Collins equipment out there operate AM or can it be
made to operate AM?  I am under the impression that most pieces after the
KWS-1 don't have the option for AM TX.  What would be recommended for a good
first time station that would work AM, as well as one that won't do AM but
will still run well.  I'm going to be looking at Dayton this weekend.
