I have had two responses to my query on identifying an early Collins
transmitter. It is either an FRT-24 or 431D.

Can anyone tell me what either unit looks like. I am trying to locate
either one for the Collins Radio Center.
All that I can remember is this rather large cabinet unit that used a
4-1000A modulated by, I believe, a pair of 4-400A's. All pressurized
compartments and front doors. Dimensions were at least 7 feet tall by 4
feet wide and 4 feet deep, approximately. I am inclined to say that it was
a 431D series. Of course, it was manufactured by Collins Radio back in the
60's. Thank you.
