Please read Dick's reply. He said he "really needed metal." You don't have problems with your probe. That's fine. Apparently he does. Well, how do you solve that problem? If HV is going to be a concern, then insulating a probe with a metal body is the answer. Simply getting shrink tubing over the metal should do the trick.

Use PVC pipe and wrap it up in aluminized foil. Be sure to ground it.
Otherwise (as has been suggested) use copper pipe and use PC board ends cut
and drilled to shape and solder them onto the copper body. That otta work
real nice (and copper pipe could be had in just about any dimensions.
