This is a similar recommendation as the one below. Sanford, the maker of the "Sharpie" permanent markers makes a large round marker about the size of an oversized cigar. Using copper foil, or as Cal stipulates below, aluminum foil. Copper pipe may fit inside as well.  You may have to go to an Office Depot, Staples, or other office supply store to find these larger markers. Let us know your results.  Tom
