Folks:

I am an impulsive buyer. Being one, I make quite a few mistakes. My latest
mistake might be someone else's windfall. I bought a 312B-5 recently that I
find not convenient at all. I would rather use my KWM-2 with my 75S-1
receiver but never having owner a 312B-5, I had to have one. Now I don't
like it and find I would like to sell it.

It is in CCA good condition. It is a RE job with cables and a copy of an
instruction manual. It is SN 60590. MCN number is 2574. The PTO tuning is
a slight bit tight but maybe they came this way. It does not have elevated
feet on the front bottom of the cabinet as all feet are the "shortly"
Collins type. It was represented to me as working but I never tried it.
Instead I knew instantly I would rather have my present set up. I can send
a photo of the unit if an potential buyer would like one.

The cabinet shows some use marks, probably from someone placing other items
on top of the 312B-5. There is also a scratch on the front panel between
the power meter on the top left and the PTO escutcheon. The scratch could
easily be touched up but since I want to sell it, I will leave that to the
next buyer.

This item is unique in one aspect. Collins apparently (I am guessing) ran
out of cases for the 312B-5 when they made this one. Instead, they put it
in a 399C-1 case because this is stamped on the inside rear along with SN
40. I don't know any of the history of this unit other than it was
represented to me that it worked the last time it was used. It could use a
good cleaning.

I want $575.00 for it with a few bucks for shipping. I haven't seen one of
these go for this price ever on this reflector or over at that other
"auction" site.
73,

Charlie, W0YG..>>
