Off the top of my head I think that the factory started installing 250s
around SN 1000 or 1100. I think that Care and Feeding of the KWS-1
article will tell you for sure. I have worked on serial numbers in the
700 and 800 range, they still had 4X150s silk screened on the PA cover
although one radio had a very flat pair of 250s in it.

I have SN-412 , it hs 4X150s however I also have SN-12 that has been
back to the factory for full update, it has 4x250s. Do you have a 6X4
or 6AL5 ALC tube? ALC pot on the front panel or the tune key? Your
radio may have been updated at the factory also, hence the 250
designation on the
PA cover.

The internal capacity of the 250 tube is different than the 150 which
caused a design change in the grid circuit.

Hope this helps
