[Collins] 30L-1 with Kenwood TS830 Advise??

You should check the keying voltage for the 30L1 to ensure it doesn't exceed the spec on the relay or key output of the TS-830. Otherwise you risk frying the TS830 circuitry if the relay voltage of the 30L1 exceeds it. If you don't have a schematic or manual for the 830, try matching the 30L1 against a TL-922/922A manual/schematic. They should be similar. BTW, that was a good call. I had a TS-450SAT that I wanted to mate up with an SB-200. Luckily I checked the specs on both. I ended up making a 9VDC relay adaptor so I wouldn't fry the TS-450's keying circuitry. FWIW.
