Unless it was modified for an AM mechanical filter, there should be a
pair of IF transformers for AM and it should work on the AM mode without
SSB filters. The filter used for SSB is a thin round filter, the filter
used for CW is a relatively fat round filter, both were wired in.

You need the right connector and jumpers for the power cord, detailed in
the manual.
