There are a few good ways to strip very fine copper magnet wire. Usually
a sharp knife cuts through the wire. Some has been made with heat
sensitive insulation that strips merely by putting it in hot solder.
Then there's a varied that won't strip that way, and has to mechanically
abraded. Sometimes holding the wire above a match flame (several inches)
will cause the wire to glow red and remove the insulation. There's also
a chemical stripper been used in the past, GC called it Strip-X. It was
rather foul smelling but would remove all but polyurethane enamel
insulations. Some of the best polyurethane enamel won't come off short
of making the wire glow red or chewing it off with a knife. I once tried
hot aqua regia in an ultrasonic bath and that stuff survived.
