Sorry everyone--- I haven't been able to go up to run the 145.115
interference experiment or even to organize it---- have been 100% booked at
work except for the ARES exercise this last week and have family
committments this weekend that won't allow me to break away for more than
30-45 minutes at a time. I'm guessing George, AB0SF is also swamped as I
haven't heard anything from him.

Neither George or I need to be the ones running this experiment, so if
anyone wants to go up today or tomorrow (safely) or even this next week and
help test it out, I can tell you exactly what you need to do very easily.
There is a 20% of snow today (Saturday), so you would need to watch the
weather. If you go up by vehicle, you need experience at handling icy
patches on the 4 wheel drive road and may possibly need chains based on your
4 wheel driving skills. It's possible that the ice we encountered last week
may be significantly reduced or even gone, but not sure.

I'm likely to be swamped for at least the next week or two at work but may
break free for a morning or afternoon somewhere. If so I will either hike
up or get a ride from someone.

For hiking it-- if someone else would like to do this--- it is a moderate
hike with good elevation climb of approximately 2000 feet in 2-3 miles. I
think it took me about an hour and a half up and an hour down the last time
I did this, but it has been a few years and I don't remember exactly but
this is within the ballpark. Of course, you need to watch the weather and
know good winter hiking safety. In addition to normal "be prepared" winter
hiking gear and some information from me on passwords, etc. you would neet
your dual-band DTMF capable HT w/ charged batteries so you could help
coordinate/run the experiment. No other tools really are needed.

Please coordinate with me (give me a phone call) so I know what's up and so
I can turn on the repeater for you, get you the particulars, etc.
