Dear ARES district 10 person-
I'd like to get your help--- we at the Northern Colorado Amateur Radio Club
(NCARC) are enthusiastic supporters of ARES in addition to our other
activities, and are starting up our new year. I just sent out the
following email to the NCARC reflector, and wanted to give you an
opportunity also to give us your input, hoping you will give it an "ARES"
slant.
The biggest item on my agenda at the moment is getting the 145.115 back up
so that it stays up and is reliable even under adverse conditions. I know
this repeater is an important workhorse for ARES. But in addition to that,
I'm thinking that we can probably be doing more to help ARES achieve it's
goals, so please provide your ideas.
Thanks!

Dear NCARC members-
I'd like to get your thoughts and ideas to help us set our direction for
this next year.
Here are the topics where I'd like to especially get your input:
a) What keeps you in the club (or perhaps for some, what kept you in the
club?)
b) What directions/projects/seminars, etc. should we take on as a club to
make your membership in NCARC more valuable to you personally?
c) What are the top 2-3 issues we should tackle as a club over the next year
or so? (These are in addition, of course, to a minimal downtime 145.115
repeater which is my pet peeve at the moment).
You can either reply back to me, or even better send it out to the
reflector. Your thoughts will undoubtedly trigger other ideas for others.
My hope is that everyone on the reflector can take just a few minutes to jot
a few ideas down and return it. If you feel inspired to write on more than
tha above, that will be great (have plenty of room on my computer!)
We're holding an NCARC annual officers meeting on Sunday February 6th and
would like to use your input to help us to set directions on where we should
invest our time and energy this next year. We will be discussing projects to
consider, possible meeting formats, etc. We will continue this discussion
at the February and/or March club meeting with the goal of moving forward on
a few key items.
