I live in an apartment complex the states, nothing out side, ie, Grills,
Antennas, Trash Cans and so forth.
I do have a 16' x 8' garage attached, there is a small hole ( he he ), going
from the bedroom to the garage attic. Where I have three Ham Stick Dipoles.
There up at about 14', 40, 30 and 15 meters. They do not work very well, (
in my appoint they don't work at all ).
The garage roof is 387' around the edge. 80m here is out of the question do
to 4 high tension lines running N and S about 500' to my west. 40m is
sometimes (only 50%) good, but, that is what I want to do, plus 30, 20, 17
and 15. I have a Mag Loop for 10m.
Radio Works has this 26ga. antenna wire I would like to use for a 40m loop.
My problem would be feeding the balum ( if needed ), cause I half to somehow
keep it out of sight. Maybe under the eve? So how do I feed it, I can get
cable to all most within 4' from where the antenna will start.
I am a QRPer and run no more that 5 watts, my HW-8 and soon to be OHR-500
are the rigs that will be used.
Any ideas on the feed line to keep it out of sight or even on the antenna,
would the loop be the answer??
