< I live in a condo townhouse with strict antenna rules.
I am thinking of putting up a 2 meter discone inside the attic.
I get the height but it is enclosed. >
< My other option is to install it outside but lower than the 5
feet fence in the yard. It won't be enclosed by I don't have
the height. >
< Any suggestions? >
Height is mandatory, you could glue or tape a 300 Ohm
"J" pole on the inside of a window pane. (made of the
almost clear polyethylene) You could get one of those
2 foot tall plastic pipe antennas that sits on top of
your `vent' pipe up on your roof.
You could shoot a small 4 or 5 element yaggi out
through a window. (covering a 20 degree arc or so)
You could build an antenna into the hand rail of
a balcony.
You could hide an antenna in a flag pole.
(PVC or fiber glass, single or multi band)
You could put a magmount mobile antenna on top of
a filing cabinet or refrigerator. (keep the power
level low if someone can touch it.
You could . . .
I never heard of a:"2 meter discone" ???
