Allan,
I am using an antenna made out of dryer exhaust hose. I got the
design out of either 73 or QST a few years back. It is made out of
about 156 turns of the hose (plastic hose, metal turns) on each side.
But heck, just get a box of the hose and put it in the attic. I don't
think there is much "design" to the thing. I use a 4:1 current
forcing balun and run coax to the tuner and rig. It is spread out to
the length of my attic, about 33' total. I also use a garbage can lid
at each end for a cap. hat. Don't ask how efficient it is, but it
works. Not stealth either, except it is in the attic.
