[Clegg] Clegg Thor 6 and Thor Six and Thor VI - - really?

There was no Thor Six. Clegg Laboratories used Thor VI and Thor 6
interchangeably in their manual and ad copy. Many of the ads headlined
"THOR VI" and the text sometimes read The Thor VI and sometimes is said
Thor 6. "Thor 6" was the shorten ad hype for Thor 6 Meter Transceiver.
The very early ad fly sheets (I think there was only one which I have)
that were sent to dealers only said Thor VI and the picture showed Thor
VI printed on the front panel. Amateur Net price in that ad was $349.95.
But, that was preproduction stuff. There were errors in the text and tube
lineup and count were incorrect. Your Thor 6 tube lineup below is
correct. Note: to be really correct, you also need to list the tubes in
the power supply/modulator. My drawings for both the transceiver and
power supply/modulator are dated February 1963. There was also a drawing
update in August 1963. I believe the first ads to hit the magazines were
in January or February 1963.
