[Clegg] Clegg FM-DX Working Great!

Hi All,

I just finished work on my Clegg FM-DX. It's, now,
running a solid 30w output, now, that my Kenwood PS-30
is working properly.

To get this rig running, I had to replace the LM-380
which I replaced with an appropriate substitute,
cleaned up the audio jack, replaced the 5082-7740
displays with substitutes, and I had to replace the
S/RF meter illumination lamp. Of course, I had to net
the main reference oscillator crystal.

I did have one other problem that was a bit tricky. I
had a problem with change over relay. It was being
held in the transmit position when running high power
with the antenna in the same room. I resolved this by
adding a .01uF capacitor across the transmit switch
connection to ground to rid the circuit of the RF.

I'm getting great signal reports from the locals
around here. I'm using a Shure 444D microphone and the
Kenwood PS-30 power supply for a fixed station set up.
