[Clegg] Zeus questions

Greetings -

Seems like the list has eben too quiet for too long, so for the Zeus
users on the list, I have some questions. First, how common is arcing
in the PA cage when tuning up? The manual mentions it, I'm curious to
know what (beyond high SWR) could cause it and why? Did Clegg make
changes to improve this, and if so, what? I've looked at two
transmitters side-by-sde and noticed the variable caps in the PA cage
are quite different - one (lower s/n) has a few, large plates, the
other unit (slightly higher s/n)sports one with more, but smaller
plates. Improvement or simple sourcing problems?

Also, what is the general consensus on actual power out for 6 and 2?
100 watts? 120? More/less? I'm just trying to get a handle on what to
expect from the gear, what tricks the experts know for getting the
most out of the transmitter while protecting things like the PA tube
and iron.

Lastly, does anyone out there have a parts donor? I have a rig in need
of the ceramic 2-position band switch, main tuning knob, and LV
transformer for the mod/ps deck.

Would be nice to get some AM activity on 6 & 2 up here in the
northeast. I know there are groups in the Boston area and lower NY as
well, but up in VT/NH/ME it sure sounds quiet.

Many thanks -
