Mike,
I did mine a few years ago. I bought a pack of 25 on eBay relatively cheap.
I just checked and there are several stateside sellers on eBay where you can
get 25 pieces for $10 or $12 dollars including shipping. I've still got a
bunch left here. There is a note in the manual about making sure that they
are all within 10% of each other in forward voltage and also about checking
that the back resistance is at least 100 times as great. With 25 to choose
from, it was easy to find a closely matched set.
Regards, Alan, W9CG

Subject: [Central-Electronics] 20A diode bridge
Good morning all,
I am new to the group and working on a newly acquired 20A with s/n of 2441.
The 1N34A diodes in the plug in octal plug are bad. I replaced the plug with
one from another 20A to confirm that these are bad. Since true geranium
point contact diodes are hard to find is there a good substitute?
Thanks for your advice
