As I work on my 100V to get it up to speed, I have noticed that many of
the little .005 bypass caps have to be replaced as they are showing
rsistance.
Not always a dead short.
I had one today in the Scope circuit that was causing the Scope to
always be on, even in Stabndby. It measured 7.8k.
I replaced it and now the scope turns Off in standby as it should. I
still can't get a descent Scope pattern, but one thing at a time.
Is it common for the little By-Pass ceramic Disc Caps to go bad like this?
If so, maybe I should just go through ad replace them all!
Wow, what a job that will be!
BTW Bob, W0YVA, I bypassed the Limiter and now I have SSB Audio ! YAY !
Looks like my Board inside it is corrupt/contaminated !
