[Central-Electronics] PS-1 & PS-2 theory

I'm trying to understand the "differential phase shift networks" in =20
the Central Electronics equipment. They are the PS-1 in the early =20
gear, the PS-2 in the 100V. They are resistor/capacitor networks =20
that take in 0=FB and 180=FB degree audio signals and put out 0=FB and =20=

90=FB. I've been content to to treat them as black boxes but I want to =20=

really understand the CE sideband slicer so I think I better figure =20
out the PS-1.

Can any of you point me to a reference that discusses these beasts or =20=

ones like them?

The PS-1 & 2 each have two halves, symmetric except for component =20
values. In the 20A and 100V the two halves are driven in parallel, =20
each getting the 0=FB and 180=FB signals and putting out signals 90=FB =
out =20
of phase. On the slicer, though, the two halves are used =20
independently, each getting a 0=FB and 180=FB input, one from the input =20=

mixed with the local oscillator and the other from the input mixed =20
with the local oscillator -90=FB. What are these two independent =20
halves doing with those signals? At this point I realize I'm lost.

Thanks,

Jon, K6JEK
