Thanks Ken,

Today she gets a bath.
The first job was to repair the reduction assembly and the VFO main shaft. I
bought it knowing it had been damaged but had never seen a 100/200 live, I
didn't know what to expect.
The knob shaft had been shoved backward from a shipping mishap. This resulted
in the brass gear on the VFO "nose" to be pinned against the ring clip that
holds the bearing in place. It also had forced the small ring wheel on the
knob shaft to be forced out of the reduction wheel set leaving a little mess
there.

The nose was removed from the VFO and taken to the vise. Some gentle tapping
got the gear and shaft back to where it should be. The reduction wheels
actually took a little more time getting the bends out of them and back to a
nice tight press fit on their associated drives.
A check of the junk box and there was a needed knob. That reinforced my need
to keep all of the "junk" in the garage. Hi.

Our kid's will be back to school here soon so the progression of this project
will depend on their "my" fall activity.

I'll be back.

73's Bob
