Alert: Road Closure Updates
The Charles County Department of Public Works is reporting the following roads are closed to traffic and/or impassable:
Pope’s Creek Road near Captain Billy’s restaurant (mud slide)Chapel Point Road at bottom of the hill past the church (mud slide)

RoadBumpy Oak RoadBillingsley Road near the bridgeTurkey Hill RoadWendy Lane (road and culvert pipe damage)Route 301 southbound 
lane, Glen Albin Rd. to Dist. 1 Sheriff’s Station in La Plata
Multiple county roads have high water or hazardous conditions and are currently impassable.  Citizens are encouraged to stay off the 
roadways, if possible.  If you must travel on the roads, use extreme caution and do not attempt to travel through flooded areas.  To 
report a hazardous road condition, contact the Department of Public Works, Roads Division, at 301-932-3440.
