 301 Southbound Closure and Detour

SUMMARY:
Portion of Route 301 Southbound Closed in La Plata
Heavy rainfall has caused the shoulder of the southbound Route 301, near the District 1 Sheriff’s Station in La Plata, to be 
washed away, causing hazardous conditions for motor vehicles.  The State of Maryland has closed the southbound lanes of Route 
301, from Glen Albin Road to the District 1 Sheriff’s Station, until further notice. Southbound traffic is being detoured to 
the northbound lane for approximately a 1/8-mile distance.
