To all a big thank you for your time and support. Things started slowly, got delayed again as the storm slowed down, critical time periods were readjusted and we provided the support they needed. The initial forecast was much worse than we got here in Charles County. That's a good thing!!! During the week, many of you provided updates to your personal contact information. That came in useful when asking people to participate. I want to thank those that either responded to the email request or checked in during the day to indicate their availability. It really helped a lot. I want to thank Joe KB3HNP and Bob KB3KOW, and his son Andrew for staffing the shelter at Milton Somers Middle School, until the worst had passed and communications remained stable. The shelter was opened at 0600 on Saturday 8/27/11 and we stood down at approximately 0415 on Sunday 8/28/11. Those that sent information for contact and/or checked in on the repeater were KB3HNP Joe, KB3KOW Bob, KB3HCG Micheal, W3JTD Jim, KB3UYZ Pat, N3FI Cliff, W1BJC Bob, N3YRZ Michelle, KA3VNF Debbie, W3TOM Tom, AA3RT Art, N2OMC Rob, W3YRS Al. And thanks to KE3RE for joining me at the Planning Meeting in the Commissioners Conference Room. If I forgot anyone, I am truly sorry and apologize in advance. Please bring any and all omissions to my attention.

Many of you have provided lessons learned and after action ideas, suggestions, etc.... I think we have some really good comments to pass up the chain and a few we can implement to do these things better. I encourage you to contribute any ideas you have. You learn something new from each event we support. I hope no one sustained any severe damage as a result of this storm.

Thanks again to everyone!

73,

Mike KA3GRW
