There is still time to register for the NCAC Institute and Skywarn =
Training.


On May 24th, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in Alexandria, the NCAC
Institute will return to the region. Beginning at 8:30 in the morning we
will cover The ARES/ RACES Organization, Response to the La Plata =
Tornado
one year ago, Young People in Amateur Radio, Directed Net Procedures, =
NTS
Messaging, Incident Command and an all new Science Fair--a show and tell =
of
clever gadgets and homemade goodies! Let us know if you would like to
display an invention or gadget. Lots of neat goodies to take home!

All materials and the ever popular gourmet pizza lunch for only $10!

We are now taking registration for Skywarn Training (same location as =
the
Institute) on Saturday, June 21 from 9 - 3. Basic 1 (prerequisite for =
all
other training) in the morning and Hurricane after lunch (bring $5 for =
the
pizza feast)--training by National Weather Service meteorologists is
provided for free!
