Greetings everyone...

     We held the first Field Day preparation net last (Wednesday) night at 2000L on the KA3GRW repeater. Check ins included:

N3YWZ & WB3KYW will be at the Field Day site on Friday (21st)
to oversee setup of the tent. (The Board of Directors went to the site Tuesday night and staked out an area for the tent. Unfortunately, due to the construction of the new Communications Center our setup will not allow us to use the water tower for antenna support. However, there are enough trees and maybe the chimney on the Fire Academy building to allow for some creative antenna setups.)

W3TOM has suggested that some of us go to the site Friday late afternoon/early evening for some grass cutting/site preparation.

We still have not determined when setup will actually start on Saturday morning. However, if the weather prognosticators can be believed, Saturday will be hot and humid. Just what you'd expect for the first full day of summer in southern Maryland.
Don't forget fans, possibly a change of clothes, and plenty of fluids. I don't want any cases of heat stroke or dehydration. I will provide plenty of ice and a water dispenser.
