[CALV-MESH] Lets build a LAN

I'm re-energized after visiting Montgomery County, today, and seeing what 
they're working on with regards to building a data network using 5 GHz 
Ubiquiti gear.

Here's my idea:
Lets try to gain access to one (or more) of the water towers in the Chesapeake 
Beach/North Beach area and build a small LAN.  If coverage seems decent we can 
take the next step and maybe add services at the city hall buildings and maybe 
the fire department as well as any hams that would like the service at their 
house.

We can provide (for testing at this point) XMPP, email, and/or some other form 
of communication between facilities.  XMPP would probably be the best, though.

I may go ahead and pick up a couple of systems to test with.  I'd like to 
figure out the correct combination of battery capacity and charge (solar?) 
capacity to keep a system up and functioning.

Is anyone else interested in testing some gear?
