[CALV-AUXCOMM] Repeater options

The only issue is see about linking with a crossband repeater is what
effect a nearby transmission may have. For instance, I live a mile east of
Dares Beach. If I were to activate a crossband what would be the effect on
the radio transmission receiving the signal from both a local user and the
repeater. The same concern would apply to most other potential locations,
such as Barstow, Port Republic, etc. Would it have contributed to the ping
pong effect heard tonight?
Sorry, but 37 years as an IT Technical Specialist (ie Systems Analyst)
causes me to overanalyze things. I hope to be able to test my hypoteses
sometime next week.
