Thanks Shawn.
Shaking out the dust in the room today. Sent out winlink emails (check your mailboxes) via winlink email and regular email via winlink node (same message). If you are not a registered winlink user you will not have an address using your call sign @winlink. So register your call through the program. Run the updates for winlink, dont remember what it was but I had an update when I opened the program.
Still working on 6 meter antenna ??? So I can try 6.
10 meters may be ok.
I can not connect to K3CAL-7 OR K3CAL-10 from my QTH. 145.070
Can not connect direct to KB3FWW-10 GATEWAY. 145.070
BUT K3CAL-1 is strong and connects easily to many gateways on 145.750
Right now I am monitoring KB3POX-10 on 145.750 through K3CAL-1 @ 145.750; auto
15 minutes will check in periods to see if any mail, none yet since message sent @around 14:53. May not get any.....who uses winlink down here anyway? LOL!!! Or should I say LMFAO?
Havent tried Zello yet?
My comcast internet is very slow here past month, paying for blast and cant even streem a movie without 2 buffers! Hurry up 5G.....found a way to get legal 5g for free internet at home, but the service has to be in place. And the speed has to be 100mbs minimum for users. Anyone interested I will send the utube video to do this.
Think comcast is hoping its customers never learn this.
Sent from my iPad,
Best Regards,
Jim Tetlow

I successfully sent some Winlink packet messages using KB3FWW-10 direct on 145.070 and KA3POX-10 via the K3CAL-1 digipeater on 145.750. Voice comm checked on the CARA 440 repeater, Davidsonville 147.105, the 447.075 link system node and some others.

Latest versions of Winlink Express and Simple Terminal were loaded, configured and tested. The older Windows 7 laptop was also updated to the latest version of Winlink Express but lacks a RS-232 port so a USB to RS-232 dongle is required (one was not available so I used mine).

I do not hear at at my QTH 2 miles away to the NW so it must be local or towards the south of the health department.
