Calvert ARES Members,
See Jim's note below.
I'd like to here from all ASAP regarding you availability and desire to participate on Oct 10th
To the best of my knowledge, we have only one active NOAA water gauge in the county and it's in Solomons

The USGS has a number of stream gauges but none in Calvert. https://waterwatch.usgs.gov/?m=real&r=md

> MDC Section will conduct it's 2020 SET on October 10 all day at your leisure. It is understood that many counties will be conducting their SET on October 3. It will be a combined Section effort of all the ARES' Groups. Details will be forthcoming once I hear whether we get a decent reply of Groups willing to support the effort.

> For those following the PRGE Hospital Drills, will find that they are conducted from home due to the Covid Pandemic in keeping with state and federal mandates for social distancing in large crowds. Not very realistic. We need to get out for once. The plan is to keep the activity to less than three for each of the inject. We are getting some feedback of 'cabin fever' so this will be a good opportunity to move about without interacting in large crowded places.

> The scenario will be to survey the various NOAA water gauges within your county. I have the list, made up from the 2015 SET. Number of gauges per county varies from two to ~18 or more. For the high volume gauge-counties, you need not be required to do them all. The idea is to team up (two no more than three) and drive to these places, take a photo, subjectively observe the water level as best you can, confirm coordinates (NOAA database not that accurate). Send your findings back to a control point (I may have a table in the Plan) in your ARES Group, who then sends the list to the SEC for a roll up report to the State, County and ARRL representatives.

> I'd like to hear back to see the support for the 2020 SET before moving to the planning stage. There are 17 County EC's. I am looking for 50% or more positive returns to make it worthwhile.
